Region wise Base Year Refining Capacity

OPEC World Oil Outlook starts with region-wise Refining Capacity as on January 2025 as the “Base Capacity” as captured in the Table below
World crude oil atmospheric distillation capacity was 102.5 mb/d, while vacuum distillation capacity was 39.9 mb/d
The world capacities of five Upgrading Units were Coking (9.4 mb/d), Catalytic Cracking (20.1 mb/d), Hydro Cracking (11.9 mb/d), Visbreaking (4 mb/d) and Solvent deasphalting (1.3 mb/d)
There are several “octane” enhancing units and desulphurization units, with their respective capacities as in the Table
