Maharashtra Non Major Portwise
Maharashtra has a coast line of around 653 Kms with 48 notified non-major ports. Out of these 16 ports handle cargo traffic
Dharamtar Port (JSW Dharamtar Port), at Dolvi in Raigad District of Maharashtra, is a riverine facility and is located on the banks of Amba River, about 23 Nautical Miles away from Mumbai Harbour by sea route. The port has 5 berths with a capacity to handle about 34 MTPA. JSW Dharamtar Port can handle bulk and break-bulk cargo. The Port currently handles substantial portion of JSW Steel’s steel manufacturing facility, and a portion of JSW Cement’s cement manufacturing facilities at Dolvi (Maharashtra). The cargo being handled includes Iron Bearing Raw Materials, Coal Bearing Raw materials, Fluxes, clinkers, slag and other steel finished products
Ravdanda, Ulwa Belapur and Ratnagiri, the other named Non-Major Ports in Maharashtra in the Ministry data, handle small volumes, and there is a large volume handled by several other ports (including Dahanu, Tarapur, Trombay, Dighi, Dabhol, Bankot, Kelshi, Jaigad, Vijaydurg, Redi)

For 2023-24, Dharamtar port handled 30 million tons, while "Others" handled 45 million tons, out of total 76.9 million tons of traffic at Non-Major Ports in Maharashtra
