PNGRB on Energy Security through Pipeline infrastructure: Development of new LPG Pipelines in India

India`s LPG consumption in cooking and commercial end use is recognised to be crucial. There is a need to connect ports and refineries with Bottling plants efficiently. While pipelines are the preferred mode for its transportation, yet a significant volume is still carried by bulk tankers. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has initiated the bidding process for the development of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) pipeline infrastructure in a significant way to eliminate bulk movement to the extent possible
Cabinet approves revision in cost and investment in equity for HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the revision of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) project cost from Rs.43,129 Crore to Rs.79,459 Crore and additional equity investment of Rs.8,962 Crore by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). The total equity investment of HPCL after increment will be Rs.19,600 Crore
Government Slashes Excise Duty on Petrol and Diesel to Shield Consumers and OMCs from Global Oil Shock

The Government of India has reduced excise duty by Rs 10 per litre on both petrol and diesel with immediate effect. This decision has been taken in response to the steep and rapid rise in international crude oil prices, which have surged from approximately USD 70 per barrel to around USD 122 per barrel over the past month - an increase of nearly 75 per cent in under four weeks, driven by the ongoing conflict in West Asia and associated disruptions to global energy supply chains
