Statewise Renewable Installed
Reserve Bank of India's Handbook of Statistics on Indian States 2024-25 of December 2025 captures trend in statewise installed renewable capacities upto 31st March 2024, that is as at end of 2023-24, Table below captures this trend
All-India installed renewable capacity had reached 143,645 MW (~143.6 GW) as at the end of the said date

At the time of writing, statewise installed renewable capacity data as on 31st March 2025 was available from Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). The same is captured in the Table below. MNRE includes Large Hydro while presenting total Renewable installed capacity
As at 31st March 2025, installed capacity of:
- Small Hydro was 5,100.55 MW
- Wind was 50,037.82 MW
- Biomass Power/ Bagasse Cogeneration was 9,821.32 MW, Biomass Cogeneration (Non-Bagasse) 921.79 MW, Waste to Energy was 309.34, Waste to Energy (Off-grid) was 530.87, for Bio Power Total 11,583.32 MW
- Ground Mounted Solar was 81,011.66 MW, PM-Surya Ghar Yojna (Solar Rooftop) was 17,017.44 MW, Hybrid Solar Component was 2,874.50 MW, Off-grid Solar/ KUSUM was 4,742.89 MW, for Solar Total of 105,646.49 MW
- Large Hydro was 47,728.17 MW
